Shop/wine critic/winery review: Vintage Wine Cellar/ Mike/ Aged for two years in cask, the 2008 Carrascal is a blended wine. It has a rustic blackberry, scorched earth and leather-scented bouquet with touches of pressed flowers. The palate is well-balanced with crisp tannins, expressive black tarry fruit and a Bordeuaz-like finish. Drink now-2016
Your Review: This wine had a terrible smell of some sort of vinegar or hospital rubbing alcohol, which was an immediate turn-off. It had a very aggressive and dry taste that didn't help with the smell. Not many things were appealing about this wine, and I do not recommend this wine to anyone that wants to enjoy a fruity or smooth finish.
